- What happens after the 30-day trial?
- We email you in week 3 to pick a plan. No automatic charges, no surprise bills. If you do nothing, your account moves to the Free tier and your first ten cases stay accessible.
- Why is Bar Council registration required?
- Causelist sync, eCourts CNR sync, and the client portal all assume you are a practising advocate. We verify Bar Council enrolment once during onboarding so the integrations stay clean — and so impersonators stay out.
- Can I switch tiers, or cancel?
- Yes, both. Upgrade or downgrade in settings; we prorate the difference. Cancel any time and we keep your data live for 30 days, then export it as CSV + ZIP if you don't extend.
- Where does my data live?
- Everything — databases, documents, AI logs — sits inside Indian data centres in Mumbai. Encrypted at rest with AES-256, in transit with TLS 1.3, audit-logged, DPDPA-aligned. Read more on the security page.
- Will VakeelBrain train on my client files?
- No. We have written zero-data-retention agreements with our LLM providers. Your prompts and uploads are isolated and not used to train any foundational model.
- Do you support GST invoicing for the bar?
- VakeelOSissues net invoices in INR/paise. Most advocate fees are exempt under GST law, so we don’t apply tax-code automation. Firm and Enterprise tiers can configure a fixed GSTIN line item if needed.
